Filming at Burnage Academy for Boys

Filming at Burnage Academy for Boys

In February, we were really excited to film out second case study video at Burnage Academy for Boys. After the success of our first video in a primary school (Richard Alibon Primary), we were keen to film in a secondary.

Why did we pick Burnage?

Well, we’d been tracking their progress for a while. As part of our monthly analysis of schools using the class meeting tool, we’d spotted that they were using it regularly and that a high proportion of the school were taking part in every meeting.

Also - their Communication Team had an active twitter account that showed all the activity that was happening. They were regularly posting about new Action Teams and class meeting results - great!

The day itself was great fun, and really inspiring for us to see. All the pupils and staff we filmed were incredibly articulate. Their Communication Team in particular was amazing - self-managing because every pupil was really clear about their individual role.

We’ll be posting the video on the blog shortly - watch this space!

Nothing to plan. The pupils run it.

Ready-made topics, a short meeting each class runs itself as often as suits you, and every child's view in one place rather than the same few voices. Have a look round an anonymised school, no sign-up.
