We’re incredibly proud to announce we’ll be delivering an innovative and exciting new social action project funded by the Mayor of London.
It’s called Team London Young Ambassadors, and we’re working in partnership with an amazing national charity called Volunteering Matters.
We got a great feeling about Volunteering Matters from the moment we started discussing the project.
They’re committed to building platforms for young people and are enthusiastic about system change. A great fit for us!
What is the project?
The project will be working with pupils in Alternative Provision, Pupil Referral Units and Special Educational Needs schools.
It will support pupils to develop youth social action projects to drive change in their lives, inform system change and address inequalities through the power of their voice.
In addition to the youth social action sessions young people will be supported to develop skills, experience and resilience that boost their participation through a suite of proven digital and remote access platforms.
What are we doing?
We’ll be supporting the delivery by helping pupils use our digital democracy tool - the Class Meeting Tool - and supporting them to participate and lead in half termly Home Debate Club sessions.
We’re also helping out with some back office stuff (the CRM).
WHAT ARE WE EXCITED ABOUT?
- Working in partnership with the fantastic Volunteering Matters. We’re really excited to learn about working in partnership to spread the impact that we make.
- Supporting amazing young who are well-placed to lead incredible social action projects in the capital :)
- Growing our team and building our capacity as an organisation. More on that soon!
