Home Debate Club: Is it right that reopening schools is the number one priority?

Given that it the last week before schools started to reopen to most students in most of the UK, we thought it was fitting to see how young people across the UK felt about the prioritization of schools reopening.

In England, the Prime Minister announced the ‘roadmap’ to reopening. The first step of which was to open all schools across the country today. The PM and the government had made it quite clear that their intentions were to prioritise getting young people back into the classroom. Home Debate Club wanted to see how students through about this prioritization and whether or not they thought it was the right thing to do.

Over 6,000 young people took part in this debate - and with 60 schools represented it was a clear: **Yes. **
