Introducing our new Chair of Trustees: Sam Hockman

Smart School Councils are incredibly pleased to welcome Sam Hockman as our new Chair of Trustees šŸŽ‰

Sam is taking over from amazing Lucy Macnab, who has expertly guided us over the last three years. Lucy is staying on as a ā€˜regular trustee’ which makes us very happy.

It’s an exciting time for Smart School Councils, and we’ll be putting Sam’s extensive experience to good use by supporting us in the next phase of our development. Welcome Sam! šŸ‘‹

About Sam

Leading a team of over 7,500 people, Sam is the Chief Executive Officer for ENGIE Futures and The Public Sector.

ENGIE is a leading energy and services company focused on three key activities: production and management low carbon energy, services and regeneration.

Engie Futures is a business totally focused on high growth markets, strategy for the Engie in the UK and M&A for the geography. Engie Futures activities include all District Heating and Cooling Investments, Engie’s digital property services activities, renewables development and generation activity and Engie’s electric vehicle business in the UK & IRL.

Sam is also the Chief Executive Officer for the groups Public Sector division in the UK. Delivering services and investing in infrastructure in the Central Government, Healthcare, Education, Defence, and Blue Light markets.
